These “bright stars” are, in fact, the beloved companions of all the Prophets ﷺ, who were directly illuminated by the Sun of Prophethood. Into their hearts, the Prophet ﷺ personally poured the light of faith and certainty. Their hearts were blessed with the spiritual benefit of the Prophet’s companionship, and their eyes were enlightened by the vision of the Prophet ﷺ.
The Supreme Guide ﷺ referred to these companions as “bright stars,” highlighting the truth that just as the bright stars in the sky guide travelers on their path, so too do the bright stars on Earth serve the duty of guidance. Their achievements are beacons for the wayfarers of truth, and under their light, a seeker of the path can traverse life with peace and assurance, moving closer to the ultimate destination.
